Celebrating our version of excellence at the Middle School Awards Ceremony! Each student honored today was chosen not only for being an “all-star” in a subject or for demonstrating personal growth, but for truly living out our Quaker values of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality, and stewardship. We are so proud of these young changemakers and the difference they make at Friends School and beyond. Our Early Kindergarten class has completed their project based learning study on architecture! The “Adventurous Community” was presented and the ribbon cutting for the class community took place on Friday. From inspirational research to blue prints to buildings and structures, their creativity blew us away! Students proudly presented their projects and showed us what BIG ideas little learners can build.

Yesterday was a dream- our celebration of our art

Yesterday was a dream- our celebration of our art programs was the perfect way to wrap up our school year! We had an outdoor festival featuring musical performances from each class, forensics pieces, drama skits, INSANE solos, and an art show. We are so proud of our talented students for shining so brightly. From compliments at greetings to patience from our families to the happiness we all had the pleasure of seeing, that was a fantastic community event! Thank you Teacher Carley for spearheading and all your hard work!

Our budding young artists in pre-k had their art show today! Teacher Diana’s classroom was turned into an art gallery! Artwork from their thematic units throughout the school year were displayed for parents to admire and “purchase.” Students were able to show guests their art portfolios too which were also designed by yours truly… our amazing young artists!

PE with Teacher Max just got a whole lot cooler! Our early school students are hitting the gas and learning the rules of the road! Today they had to pass their driver’s license tests by mastering skills on the road and knowing important safety measures. Students even received their very own and very official driver’s license.
